Just turned 53.
Like Mumble, I was indestructible as a young man, and I absolutely would NOT have listened to anyone telling me to be careful. Being careful is for old folks who have survived being indestructible.
I am now a very careful old man.
Well, maybe not THAT careful.

After all, after you have stared Death in the eye multiple times and had that long talk with the Lord (we're good), you just start to shrug at the mention of eternity. It's just a much better place we go to, after all. I have quit smoking (after 30 years of puffing) and taken up drinking wine with dinner, provided I'm not planning on going back out.
I've been married for 33 of my 53 years. My lovely wife tolerates me, but I have yet to figure out why. So, I indulge her in most things. It's my perogative, after all. It's not that hard to set aside the laptop long enough to help her with a project or just talk to her. I love my games, but the games can wait whenever family calls.
I like this forum, by the way. Relatively intelligent conversations and there is not too much flaming going on. If more would remember to not feed the trolls, then things would be even better, although I do admit to a certain guilty pleasure in reading some of the more virulent posts.
Carry on, y'all.
