Gal 2 on my High-Def.

My High Def TV has PC link so I've been playing games on it, the native resolution for the TV to display the computer is 1360x768, I can't seem to get the game to display on?

Both X and Y dimensions are larger than the minimum requirements, so it should work. Please open the debug.err file in your Program Files/Stardock/Totalgaming/GalCiv2 folder and paste the contents in a post here so we can help you diagnose the problem.

Or just if you haven't tried allready edit the prefs.ini in my documents and settings\my games\galciv2

Why play on such a monster, Galciv is hardly an oil painting.

Nope, it runs on 1400X900 for me easily. That is a widescreen resolution.

What he needs to do is have the resolution available as a desktop resolution. If it is then he can play it on that in galciv.

The thing is though he probably needs drivers for this "monitor"

That will work, it has the dimentions for the current resolution in their. Just put in what you want and it should be fine.

Thanks for verifying the max resolution of game. And believe me other games look great on my HD (Guild Wars, Rise Of Legends). Thanks guys.

Max? There is no max in DirectX or GalCiv2 as far as I know, or if it is it's something huge like 4096x4096 or larger. I have played at 2048x1536, the most my monitor will do. It's not nice at that res on a 19" monitor, however, I prefer 1360x1024. Wish I still had my 21".

I am using a ViewSonic N3250W widescreen TV/Monitor, and GalCiv2 runs fine for me in 1360x768.
Try the options->video from the main game screen.

Wrong. You can play it at any resolution higher than 1024x768. Just open up your prefs.ini file, and enter the DisplayWidth and DisplayHeight you want the game to run at and save the file. Badda Bing. I have a professional graphics card in my computer and have played it at insanely high resolutions across 2 screens.
