Hello,
Linux a long and missunderstood topic I think.
A short backround to fill anyone up that dont use Linux or does not know what I am talking off:
As far as you may think Linux is not very compatible to Windows. As the matter of fact it is a remake of legendary unix Operating system which is quite popular on big Computers. (And it is similar to Mac os if you like to know.

)
Since Linux runs on the same hardware that windows compatible computers do somepeople thought to build a library that adds the Programm interface of Windows to linux and gain a compatibility to windows by providing this Libary to Linux. The library is called wine (wine is not [an] emulator). With wine it is Possible to run windows Apllications on Linux almost natively or lets say with a minimum of emulation.
Wine Provides a usefull amount of directx. The Latest version is 0.9.37 at the time I write this.
To the question i would like to ask is:
would you if galactic civilisation 2 (or 1 or othergames/products) are running on top of wine as is support the project by adding Linux and wine to the requirement List of Operating systems?
What would be needed from your point of view to make you say that it works with Linux and wine? What would it take to let you think even saying to give offical support?
And while at it:
Would you support ReactOS a windows Compatible free Operating system when it is released?
further Ressources in case you need more:

Thanks
