Why do they have to close everything down just for that. I can't even get help with tech support and I don't even live in the Us and yet I am getting affected by it.

But why does everything have to be shut down? Also I looked it up it is supposed to be on the 30th of May and this is not the 30th. Besides I have to pay more because I live in Canada and for some unfair reason my money is worth less than US money. OS really I paid enough for this game I should not have to wait another day just for this. Besides how am I supposed to know it is a Us holiday? Do you know about all the national holidays in every single country? Besides nowhere on there phone line did it say they were closed. I am calling long distance to a number in another country do to them not telling me. Really stardock should have to compensate me for the money I wasted trying to get a hold of them all day.

It's less disruptive to the economy to celebrate it today.

Actually, most calenders in the U.S. include foreign holidays on them (Boxer's day, Guy Fawkes day, bank holidays, etc.). But here is a novel idea, if you are calling a foreign country, maybe you should check to be sure they will be open first.

Last week in Canada it was Victoria's Day (for what ever bizarre reason you guys feel it reasonable to have a holiday for a foreign monarch). Were I to waste my time and money calling a Canadian company that was shut down for the holiday it would be no one's fault but my own. So stop crying, take some responsibility for your own actions, and wait a day until Stardock reopens.

Actually, if you want to get technical Queen Elizabeth is the head of state in Canada, as she is in the UK and many other Commonwealth countries. What is Bizarre is that, to the best of my knowledge (fellow commonwealthers please correct me if I am wrong here), we are the only country to celebrate May 24 as Victoria day.

As for the whiny Canadian, get over it. If you want to do buisness with a company from another country, you're going to have to find out their operating hours, preferably before you're in need. It's sort of like doing buisness with someone in Japan. You do realize of course that if you call them at noon your time on Fri, it's midnight friday their time. Would you be upset because they weren't open at midnight??

Also, please, lets not forget the veterans like myself who made 'the penultimate sacrifice'. We are still alive, but for many, many reasons are unable to live 'normal' lives ourselves.

As someone who worked in RAF intelligence, a big thankyou to all the US, Canadian, Australian and NZ folk I've worked with in my time.

Our rememberance day is of course November 11th.

We may or may not agree with what we are duty bound to do, but we do it to the best of our ability.
