Excuse me, but, if Britain were so stupid as to wage war on the U.S.A. today - they would be particulate matter in no time flat. (just like it happened the first time, I might point out!)
The good ol' U.S.of A. is the only superpower in existence these days, don't you know.
(not that it will remain so, to my own personal desire)
U.S.A. - right or wrong - ra, ra ra.
If any of you can overturn the U.S.A. way of things (including the spellings thereof) - I applaude you.
Sorry, the first time? Are you recalling the declaration of independence and subsequent war, which I hasten to add you needed french help (the only war the french have ever won)
I suspect that a war between the US and the UK is unlikely ever, however if the aim was to bring down the US then I think removing the US access to OIL would bring forward the collapse of the US economy, the US economy can only survive as long as it keeps printing dollars (debt notes). if Oil had to be sold in pounds or euros the dollar would be no more. Oh did I mention Iran is selling it's oil in euro's (so china/russia don't need the have dollars anymore to buy oil) the time the US has as a superpower is almost up. the only way out of this is to take out Iran, mark my words that will be soon and for the reasons above, nothing to do with nuclear weapons (if it was Israel would have nuked them long ago)
As for spellings it was the UK that used "ize" and we decided to change it (to "ise") not the other way around. John Cleese got that one wrong.
