I understand that there are numerous reasons why this isn't included in many PC games. Don't get me wrong I really liked the music that was in the trailer and I'm sure I'll probably like the music in Demigod as well. Anyway no matter how good something is you always like a change eventually. Well I do, ok a lot of the time I’ll just turn off the in game music and play my own in the background. If I’m the only one who cares about this I wouldn’t be surprised but maybe some how I’ll end up getting someone who agrees with me. I just think it’s probably not that hard to implement if it is then I hope no one corrects me. So anyone care? *Cues dead silence*

I'll never complain about an extra feature, but I think development time is better spent elsewhere. The same thing can be mimiced by having a sound slider for background music and then running WinAmp or something in the background. The extra time needed to develop the GUI and such isn't worth it when the same thing is accomplished for 1% of the work.

I was talking as a whole as well not just about Demigod, like games for windows. If Microsoft set a standard like they do for the xbox. So all the games would have the same system implemented. It would be a lot more stable than running lots of stuff, I would assume.

Develop a GUI? All I was thinking was in the game settings you could just select a folder to play from. Running multiple stuff at the same time isn't really my idea of a great compromise. Next thing someone will say is get a stereo. I'm not asking for anything fancy just let me select an mp3 and play it in the game. They did it GTA San Andreas, I think I actually had to move the files manually but I would be more than happy with that. Sliders are usually already in the sound options.

Anyway thanks for the reply better than someone just ignoring this completely.

Yes, I meant development of a file selection GUI. It's a fairly involved process. The dual-program solution isn't optimal, but it's more flexible and powerful than anything GPG could implement (playlists come to mind).
