Team Survival

 I was wandering, you know, about the DOTA inspiration. It is true, the map is good, and from the little I've seen( a gameplay footage is needed) the game is also good, but I another though is banging inside my head. Among warcraft RPG maps Enfo Team Survaival was a favorite of mine, could this not be turned into a mode? The heroes are there, there are no maps, it's true, but this could be fixed with enough time and I'll take that wild guess that the engine, that powerful mechanic, is flexible enough.

 Now I know that this can not happen, a new mode right before the beta, but I'm sure that this could be kept as an idea for the future, no?

 

 In fact I could bet that many modes could be integrated, like for example in the Unreal series, for this game is not DOTA, nor a Warcraft rip off and could do so much.

Would be funny. But I think it would be better in this mode, if the devs boost the maximum lvl of each demigod.

 Not exactly needed. Depends on the monsters, it isn't set in stone to level up twice every wave(or once fot that matter).

I hope there is good mod support so somewone can make a coop survival mod..

It shouldn't be hard.

 

I'd love to have TONS of creeps spawnign from one end and you defend with your hero.

 

The issue I always had with team survivals is people hogging the creeps though.  I always liked solo race defenses.

 

I think being able to do that stuff is vital for sucess if GPG/Stardock are hoping to draw DotA players away..  Don't tons of people that play DotA also play other wc3 mapmods?

 Lame, but Footman Frenzy, Siege, RPG(this should be an option, can you just imagine the potential with the level editor). But if they do decide to include any new modes in the game it will be with the expansion. I don't think they can create the levels and code it until release day.

The way xp worked at PAX was rather loose, I think killing about 2-3 waves would level you, and killing an enemy demi would like almost always give you a level.

Also alternate AoS style mods anyone?

Some TD's are good

 

ACtually I can only think of 3 good ones..  Gem TD, Rune TD, Shopping Maul.

All the other ones are extremely easy and get boring after you beat them once.

 

Yeah I want to see alternate AoS Style mods.

Footman Frenzy was one of my favorite map too on War3. A Team Survival could be quite fun. But i guess for now, they are a bit busy with the game itself without thinking of different mods. Good idea though...

I'm just one of thsoe people that want good mod support so all these things are possible for the players to make rather than the devs.

AND be able to share online, no website download install run-around.

 

I want this, sure, it'd be awesome!  I just want the players to mod it, not the devs.
