[BUG] Game Fatal Error after intro

After watching intro "you must create atleast one profile" is displayed but nothing can be selected.  Tabbing out of game shows fatal error.

Same problem....and I wanted to spend this weekend being a zombie playing Demigod .... and now I must go into the sun... It BURNS!

That suggests to me that the error is a C++ runtime error. Try getting the C++ redistributable from Microsoft. If that doesn't work, start ending non-vital processes.

Also, post a DxDiag.

That seems like there's a problem with some data type hilarity, because that's a hash function assert screwing up. Somehow, something that should be immutable isn't.

tried the C++ link. No luck

I had exactly the same failed assertion. The resolution which worked for me is in my last post on this thread, so try it out: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/323073.

I tried closing  everything possible and it still crashes on me...   Spore, Dota and Sins are the only things keeping me from getting depressed I wanted to play so bad and then *Face slap*... Yet I am dead inside...
