And the Boulder shows only how far the stun part of the attack can go if you aimed it that direction.  The actually damage can extend beyond the ring, haven't confirmed how far.  Great for early game tower killing while avoiding damage since the roll extends beyond the towers range..

Yeah, sometimes it's a ground click and sometimes it isn't.  Although, the text description seems to imply that it's more of a ground smash aoe than a direct hit then aoe. 

Sometimes lovely, bit I've seen the rook chase an enemy to cast it on them. Also I've had times where I try to target ground and it won't cast until I choose a target.

Exactly. I'd say target what the player clicks. If they target an enemy unit, chase it down. If they click ground, attack ground. I don't think it has a big enough AoE that they intend target ground to be present, though.

Then cancel. It's much better to be able to specifically target something with an attack instead of missing if the guy moves an inch to the left and then stands there begging to be hit.

Less than half the damage it does if it hits the guy squarely. And this way, it's still only really possible to hit somebody who isn't stunned if they're a freaking moron and let you do it, so that's a non-issue. I just would like to give an attack at a decent range and not miss if the guy moves a little bit but is paying so little attention he deserves a head pounding.

Hammer smash is actually ground targeted.

And this is why it isn't overpowered.

I know that. I would still like an option to target it on an opponent the way you can now, and have the rook trudge up to its current location and hammer slam them while I look at stats or something like you can now. It'll still be targeted at the ground occupied by the enemy at the start of the animation, it'd just be handy.
