As far as I know i'm the only one who had this issue thus far, but my game would not load, it'd get past the splash screen and then come up with some message about unable to create direct 3d. The drivers were up to date and every worked fine. Turns out the latest drivers for the card were the issue. I guess they were not backwards compatible or somehting along those lines. However once I rolled back my drivers everything ran correctly.
So again the solution was to roll back my drivers to a previous version. Should this problem occur to someone I hope this solution works for you.
