It's about time Microsoft started to push out some ads. I guess they wanted to wait for Service Pack 1 to iron out Vista's few issues.
Those confused (read; fearful of change), should look into http://www.mojaveexperiment.com it's an interesting find.
The problem with the Mojave experiment is that the people in their test group did not have any knowledge of Vista, they just heard about it from (primarily tech) friends. And they just don't care, to put it mildly. If it works, in any fashion whatsoever, they're happy. They don't care if it consumes more resources, if it takes more hard drive space, if the system requirements are higher-just so long as it works.
Now if you tried to pull that kind of stunt on a hundred random geeks, they'd give you the bird nine times out of ten.
I'm not trying to rag on Vista, and SP1 has improved it, but I honestly was very much unimpressed with it when it launched, and I can't wait for Windows 7. Hopefully we'll at least get a real move to 64-bit (32-bit backwards compatibility is nice, but we don't have "64-bit forward compatibility" on our 32-bit OSes).
