OK maybe it is me but I think the Rock is seriously lacking in all regards. Surprisingly this is the one avatar I really don’t like visually. However it is closest to my play style out of all of the current options so I keep trying with it.
In short I'm no longer convinced it is underpowered because of my noobness. I have died going head to hear against AI generals mono on mono when starting with full health. There are some spells that simply destroy it in short order. For example the ice and ring of fire spells when double applied within seconds of each other after a stun an the Rock is toast.
Hell even without the stun it cant move fast to begin with so it hardly ever gets out of the way. The stun is the insult to injury I guess. I often find myself thinking it is like the overgrown mentally challenged kid from the neighborhood that everyone likes to pick on - it is really very sad... Anyway, my suggestions for it are as follows:
- Immune to stuns
- Ability to heal structures
- Weapon selection - please
- A far better upgrade path
- More starting HPs
- Less manna related dependence - please
For what it is worth, I see the Rock as a tank on the one side and a combat engineer on the other. For example instead of "towers of light" how about micro volcanoes or even lava flows or my personal favorite a stone wall for a special ability.
