Multiplayer Online

hi i see a lot of people making comments and all but when i go online (seems like the only option right now) nobodys there!

is it just because the beta opened recently

is it just me not being able to connect properly or is there realy noone there

Getting a solid online game going is difficult at the moment, so what most people do is they either schedule one with friends and try it, or just play vs AI in internet mode.

Anytime I host a game I usually get a player within 10 minutes.  It helps if you go on the Demigod IRC (see sticky) and actively recruit, but you can usually get a game at any time of day if you have a bit of patience.  Right now it's only the hardest of the hard playing, as the netcode discourages matches of more than 2 v 2, and even those are finicky.  Hopefully Thursday it will be better, as the devs are planning to patch the netcode.

hopefully once netcodes better we as players will organize times to go online and play some big games.

The main problem is that it is difficult to set up games because of the connection issues, so some people just give up until the next update.
