Latest Build Rocks!

I don't know what it is, but this latest build has just the right formula going. I've had more fun playing this build, in single play mind you, than any of the previous builds. No tedium, no balance issues, no over abunance of flag management. It is a tad laggy on my box, but tha'ts probably because I've got my settings turned up a bit too high. Like I said, I can't point to one specific change and sya that's the it, but for whatever reason, this build has the right mix. I'm VERY psyched about DemiGod again. Thanks to all for the good work.

Have to agree with you on that, this build is really a huge improvement (not THAT different from 2C, but the jump from 2B -> 2C was very impressive). However when you go online you will find there are some balance issues, but those will be dealt with later

Wait till Beta 3 shows up. That's the first build where the real banacing has been done. Beta 2D is the first beta where we've started balancing.

A was talking to Gamasutra today and talkng about the Demigod beta about how many people didn't realize that our betas are real betas an that we intentionally make the early builds pretty lame to focus on the engine and not the game itself.

Hopefully, some people will remember how lame Demigod was early in its betas when Elemental goes into beta and people inevitably complain how lame the Elemental betas are.

I agree; this build actually has me thinking that maybe idol's aren't such a bad mechanic after all. I've had much more fun in 2D games, but I can't put my finger on what's causing it.

Now, give me my TB back and I'll be set.

The walk/movement speed of the demigods seems to be a bit faster.

Ah, Elemental. Now that game, I've waited 15 years for. I'm really expecting a lot from you guys. No pressure though.

Since I'm on satellite internet I'll be a single play guy for a while, but I am really looking forward to the success of DemiGod. It's a wonderful idea, and I know it's going to be popular. PLay balance it gonna be critical, but just don't nerf my favorite DG. LOL! Seriously though....

When the next build comes, will it be all play balance, or is there still room for game dynamic changes. No worries, I'm just curious as to what's to come and am trying to judge how close it is to completion.

More seriously it's hard for a beta player to see the whole tree of possibility and not to be able to test all our idea and see what you are (GPG & Stardock) planning for the future.
As it was already said you know your job and have shipped several great RTS.
