So, I've discovered that the AIs don't really seem to react or change much in fortress mode. When the objective becomes "destroy all fortresses" I feel like they shouldn't still rush towards the citidel as if little else matters.
In the 1 map we've so far (with fortress), there is only really 1 fortress that I can get AI help with conistantly. That fortress is the center so its easy for the AI to blunder across it when you are fighting there. More often I feel like they agro to a near-by enemy demigod and then just start attacking the fortress with me when the enemy leaves. I'd understand if some fortresses were set in parts of the map minions didn't travel specifically so it had to be a demigod(player) group effort, but AI demigods don't really go for them right now either. They will sometimes come help when I'm bashing one, but I suspect that is part of the "should get flags" logic rather than actuelly understanding that the fortress is what is going to claim victory.
Of course there is a call for more AI improvement (which is always a +). But what I'm suggesting is that fortresses either be placed mostly in places where the minion swarms can be used against them or, give us perhaps an item or citidel upgrade for fortress mode that will help us pull nearby 'neutral' minions to help against a fortress.
