After Beta 3A gets released, we will begin finding and solving as many of these horrible configurations as possible in order to help make Demigod’s multiplayer experience as bulletproof as possible.

And if you are one of those people who just can’t connect to games, after beta 3A, hang out on #demigod in the Impulse chat channel and we shall seek you out.

Issues I am seeing:

I try to join a game with peeps in.  All turns green *Winner* I am in...

I try to join a game with >3 peeps in.  I see all names in yellow, number of things happen..

A)All go green *Winner*

B)Some go green then NAT traversal begins again and continues to do so..

C)Some go green then it restarts and the name list begins again with duplicated names (I am assuming peeps have quit and tried to join again but it hasn't removed them so the game will never allow any new people to join.

I would love to see the lobby screen allow chat and show list of peeps looking for games.  This would help tremendously!  Also allow peeps to return to lobby and chat WHEN INSIDE a game lobby to chat to peeps.  A lot of players suffering from C just wanna tell the host who is sat there with 5 peeps that no one else can get in and if they make a fresh game and all rejoin it will work.

Oh and also a US and EURO area would be very nice.  I get <150ms with euro peeps but if one US joins its >300 and the game is just horrid, 5secs of play 2sec hitch loop =/

Unless their lag goes above 350 it should be fine now with the new net_lag being set to base 350.

Hope your hard work into creating a near-foolproof system works. I personally am used to biting the bullet and setting up things on my end so there is no issue, but its always nice to have a break from having to do that and have an online system that just works.

Eh I had the problem where I couldn't connect after build 3, but I finally got around to upgrading my 10+ year old cable modem and its all working now. I'd highly suggest that if your cable modem is that old to just upgrade it. I put mine off for far too long and it was just silly...Heck upgrading has more then doubled my internet speeds. Heck download speed on impulse used to be 500-800...i'm getting the new demigod patch right now at 1.5-1.8MB/s

That's why we added the chat overlay.  Hit SHIFT+TAB to activate it.
