THE NPC AI is too stupid to keep up with even the simplest strategies I implement. It is only good with an unstoppable demigod which has tons of hp and tons of damage. It always rushes in and stays in the line of tower fire while despirately trying to take on a full-hp demigod. I don't even need to be that string, just a tad bit stronger face-to-face vs another demigod. Like a regalus will stand there while a unclean beast melees him to death. A tourch bearer will rush in. These are demigods that must stay back and kite enemies not stand there tanking. Demigods need to keep away from towers unless they "think" then can rush in and kill quickly and get out. Not trying to take on a enemy demigod 2 levels higher (low level battle) while 2 towers in prison shoot the attacker, who obviously dies.
In the end this is a strategy game, you don't get many units but you must make every move count since your opponents will to. A Goal Oriented AI works nicely for FPS games, but I am unsure if it works so well for a strategy game.
