Impulse for Windows xp 64bit?

Hey guys, I'm trying to download impulse for Demigod, but having no luck since I have 64bit xp. Does anyone know if there is a way around this or am I screwed? Also since I just pre-ordered, does that mean I am automatically in the beta until release, or no? Thanks a bunch

I can answer one of your questions at least:  If you just pre-ordered, you're too late to be in the beta.

An a more general advice, I'd recommend having a vanilla XP partition for games, and a whatever-else partition for everything else.

(Personally, I have a standard XP partition for gaming only, and a Ubuntu partition for everything else.  Doing serious work in Windows is pain, and getting games to work in Ubuntu is more pain.)

ah damn, that sucks i missed the beta... oh well.

 

 

but yeah, i've never had problems with any programs before, this seems to be the only one with no 64bit xp support, which is pretty retarded. Is this program like steam where it's required to play the game or no?

The game itself may play in XP 64 bit, but the download manager, Impulse, will not work with XP 64.

Works fine in Vista x64. Is that a limitation just for XP x64, and if so, why?

According to this: https://forums.wincustomize.com/315663, you can run Impulse in 32-bit compatibility mode and it should work fine.
