Can't customize camera keys?

Why are the camera keys locked to the default WASD? I want to use WERD, but it won't let me change them.

There were a few requests to change this during beta, but I don't recall seeing any replies.

HUGE BUMP

Really, this is the only major technical issue I have with the game other than the quirky sound (haven't played online yet)

I play with ESDF, and have been since the original Quake.  This isn't a FPS but the camera control scheme is similar. 

WASD sucks as it gives less keys to bind left of your hand, and the nub is on the F key, making ESDF easier to find.

there are programs such as auto hotkey which lets you make your own bindings and macros but I am unsure if it will conflict with the games bindings.  It might be worth a shot though, but customizable keys are a must in any game.  Epsecially one with a keyboard involved

this is really uncalled for and unaccepted for a PC game.

The original HalfLife which is over 10 years old let you rebind all but 3 or so keys.

Id really really like a right click and move mouse to turn the camera angle. Really annoys me having to press a key to tilt the camera, especially when everytime you die it goes and pans the camera on an angle, which I then have to reset each time.

I got to agree on this one. It's really hard some times to focus on your character when something massive is in the way, or when you die, sometimes the camera angles just make their own idea of what you are looking at now. Please make a way to manually use the camera, even if it's a middle mouse button and turn or something that we can key ourselves.

seriously it's been a week, what happened to stardock's responsiveness? it's a pretty simple question about an issue that shouldn't even BE an issue in a pc title

I would LOVE to be able to use my mouse "thumb-button" for camera rotation (ala.  World in Conflict)  -  holding the thumb-button and moving the mouse rotates the camera in every which direction!

My most-loved feature in WiC!

You know what's fun? Having Insert as your push-to-talk key and not being able to rebind it in Demigod.

I'd really like to be able to rebind all keys as well.

I must agree, this is my biggest complaint with the game.  (well besides the MP fiasco)  Pressing spacebar for free look is odd, but the fact you can't change the camera keys is quite an oversight and surprising coming from GPG.  You got my vote.
