Considering that you're only controlling one unit, the game really isn't that micro intensive that an attack-move order should be needed. Besides, it is becoming fairly common to use wasd as movement keys, as they are a lot more practical to use than the cursor keys, considering the location of all of the other key bindings.
With respect to focus attack, what do you mean exactly? How does this differ from right clicking on a unit?
I can confirm that attack move works roughly 25% of the time...
And the reason for it is, if you have a melee DG, he will kill a creep and just sit there even if another one is 3feet outside of melee range. Add in the fact that if you are a general, the minions just sit there and hold each others ding dongs, if a creep is not right next to them.
So you are left with clicking every creep that is not clustered, also attack move makes moving along when a group comes slightly more coherant compared with running through a group of mobs waving.
Since attack move pretty mcuh doesnt work, theres really no point in talking about it anymore...
