Why does your demigod randomly change targets?

For example; I tell my demigod to attack another, he starts doing so, but when the other demigod turns to run, mine stops attacking him and begins attacking some stupid nearby minion! WTF? Why don't they stay locked on the target you tell them too? I can understand if I was stunned or something, but this happens under all circumstances!

It is a bug that has been around since beta. Meelee demigods are the most affected. You just have to keep clicking on your target periodically, and especially when you are close to a kill.

Yeah, nothing is more annoying than nearly killing a demigod, only to have your character go braindead and attack some meaningless minion. GrrrRRR!!!!!!!!!!
