I'm a fan of the game and bought it on release day.

I hear that GPG/Stardock whoever is trying to implement VOIP into this game.  I think while it's a great tool for coordinating in multiplayer.

Most people will use Teamspeak or Ventrilo for this already. 

Setting up the software/hardware seems like doing unnecessary rework when there's already a proven solution for these needs.

I know there are several bigger and more impacting customer experience changes that should be put before this.  Just my 2 cents.

I appreciate all your hard work for this game.

Even when it's all said and done, if we end up with the sound quality of an xbox live headset it'll just be inferior.  I mean if some developer wants to take a shot and learning something, but when you make this visible to your user base it opens you up for criticism. 

If you plan to go forward with this I would postpone or develop in secret.
