I had a smartexception log saved, but it disappeared.
Anyways, I was playing 1v1 against a buddy of mine over the Internet, and he decided to quit, so it lagged a couple of seconds while the game compensated for his leaving by replacing him with an AI. So then I hit Shft-Tab to open up the overlay, and then all of a sudden just before it got a chance to load, it crashes. I read real quick there was some sort of memory access violation.
So I go to copy the SmartException error so I can post it here, then I hear "forces of darkness increased their war effort or w/e" so I laugh and alt-tab back into the game, which is suprisingly still running, but the I realize there is no portrait of my DG in the middle of the toolbar, instead, just a gold circle, and there is the friends list overlay open, but I cannot close it. Seconds later it crashes.
Minutes later, my buddy calls me and asks me where I went. Apparently he didn't quit and I just got disconnected.
Here's a short recap of the events:
- 1. My opponent "quits", gets replaced by AI
- 2. I open up the Impulse overlay to chat with him
- 3. CTD, possible memory access violation
- 4. The game is still running, so I alt tab back into it
- 5. An overlay window is still there, unresponsive. Another CTD, this time more permanent.
- 6. My opponent let's me know that he didn't quit, and must've gotten disconnected
