I don't play Sedna like this at all. Waiting to get Silence, your most useful ability, until level 12 isn't a good idea. Sedna's interrupts are as important, if not more important, as her heals for you and your teammates. Pounce, silence, melee w/ heals as needed and then kill with a final pounce is the standard for a reason. Never have your Sedna hang back just healing.
You want to play Sedna as a fast, bust damage support character. I usually do this...
1: Pounce I
2: Inner Grace I
3:
4: Pounce II
5: Heal I, Silence I
6: Inner Grace II
7: Pounce III
8: Heal II
9:
10: Pounce IV, Inner Grace III
11: Heal III
12: Silence II
13: Heal IV

And don't focus on her normal melee damage. Weapon damage and critical chance does not affect your pounce. Sedna is a poor melee character and spending that much money on items to compensate is just a wasted effort. Get Plenor and Velmish to take away mana concerns. After that it varies, but I tend to get Boots of Speed and Wyrmskin Gloves for its special effect. Keep Sedna fast and your opponents slow. You need to be able to constantly move in and out of battle healing, pouncing and silencing to support your teammates.
I always keep some way to teleport in my inventory and never use potions since I have my monks. The Monk Idol is probably the best way to spend your initial money. I would never play Sedna without my portable potions. Upgrade them to the better idols in late-mid and end game.
I'm not an expert, but I have played Sedna and only Sedna for a couple months now. Have you been playing multiplayer or just against the AI? I promise you that the better players online would decimate you with that build. I went through a lot of pain online before I learned.
