help, i cant join any type of game yet.

i need help.

ive done everything possible, from monks guide and reading the forums to get it working, but i still cannot join ANY game online

i can play this game over LAN, as i versed my brother yesterday, with NO problems at all.

i am from australia

my setup is:

ISP--> TPG, i know that p2p works with this ISP

my modem/router [2wire 2071-A] ---> has the configuration:

Connection Type: PPPoE

my i have a DMZ to [DI-524 Dlink] on this device

firewalls are turned off

router/switch [DI-524 Dlink]--> has the configuration on its WAN:

Upnp and SPI are DISABLED on this device

ports are forwarded between 6000 - 6200 using BOTH UDP and TCP, and the impulsereactoroption.exe file is the same as this

this [DI-524 Dlink] also has a DMZ feature which i set to my computer.

firewalls on everything are turned off aswell.

i have the latest firmware installed

so my network is connected like this:

[2wire 2071-A] --> [DI-524 Dlink] --> my computer (wirelessly)

i can host games in Warcraft 3, with the exact same settings as above, if that helps in any way..

I have the same router. Didn't do any DMZ, just forwarded UDP/TCP traffic to my machine on ports range 6100-6200. Make sure your machine is assigned a static address to make the forwarding work. Haven't done any firmware upgrades for the router either.

so i added in what you did and i got rid of these in the messages in the router log

but still no luck

"Make sure your machine is assigned a static address to make the forwarding work." does this mean that i shouldnt use dhcp on the router?

You have to, but just use the static assignment. Give the same ip to your machine as the one used to forward traffic to, my case is 192.168.0.2. There's a drop down there where you can select your machine's mac address, the router should be aware of it by now. In the end you should have something like this

thanks for all the help! but it still doesnt seem to fix the problem ill try fiddling with my modem now see if thats the problem..

It's possible the problem is not with your router than. Maybe you are too far from anybody else playing... Just a thought.
