Stuttering hamachi and online games

Trying to play with my friend on both hamachi and using the online option, everytime we start a game it plays fine for 5 secs then freezes for 3, and repeats. Can ping each other fine, getting vetween 70 and 100ms pings. and have tweaked and played with every setting we can think of. Wirewalls, DMZ, static ports on hamachi.

Any have any other ideas that may help. Very frustrated we cant play this Multiplayer Game multiplayer........

also i patched the game on the 16th but am still seeing v1.0 on impulse. Can't remember if this is correct, have tried verifying installation.
