They are working on various filtering/karma options that will give you the option of not allowing those people to play with you.

I've only had one bad apple online, because I was killing him with UB in a matter of seconds, late game. (imagine that, the burst demi-god BURSTING YOU DOWN) It may also be the connection stuff is bad so people aren't happy that when they play they end up playing someone much better then them.

Second of all, it may not be the usual "random hate". I'd imagine a pro baseball team would be upset if you tried batting by poking the ball instead of swinging or doing something else completly ridicious.

No, we're not playing pro baseball. I know. The point is most people want a good game. When newer players are feeding the enemy team, walking around with 100 hp, and other idiotic things, it maks it hard to compete, let alone win. After a bit, there's just no point in playing. You can't vs 3 by yourself, your team is useless and helping the enemy more than you, and you basically wait another hour or so doing nothing while you get yelled at for being an afker.

Anyone would be upset. The correct way to react would be to offer advice. Sure, they should of played single player to get the hang of the game first, but whatever. Too late now. I, for example, offer advice such as "Hey, there's a snipe reg and you have 300 hp silly TB! Go heal!"

Usually, people react somewhat like what you are saying. "Stop being elitist, stop telling me what to do, blabhagaekjgaekfbaekbfgkaefb!". This lumps them with the first group of people. Anyway, after they die from a snipe after reg snipes a creep 3 times by mistake, they say he's over powered and bitch or leave or just giggle and go back to feed him some more.

Point being, I think we should encourage teamwork rather than hitting ignore on other players. Because that's probably a sure way to lose. Of course, if you want to ignore another player in the first place, chances are you're not going to win in the face of a team that works together.

You have idiots like that in every game. Unfortuately, with RTS pairing you with only one person rather than a whole team like in other genres, idiots are more likely to open up and blame their teammate directly than simply screaming at their monitor that "their team sucks and they are teh gods of the internet", in private. Especially if you're playing ranked games, in which case expect every 9.5 out of 10 players you're paired with to be egotistical maniacs who care more about a quick win and addition to their score than the game.

You realize that the multiplayer is highly unstable and drops people against their will randomly right? I haven't seen anyone deliberately ragequit a game yet, but I have had plenty of games where as the hours dragged on, more and more people ended up succumbing to DCs between the duration and the connection issues. I myself got dropped in the middle of an hour long game, which sucked badly, but as I said, there isn't much control over that.

There's an eject system which is rather strict atm so that's part of the problem.

@OP might I suggest checking out the strategy forum or playing single-player a bit till you can beat hard/nightmare ai. Avoid having team-mates in single-player as they're generally more a hinderance then help. (although a hard UB was pretty good last night)

I`ve encountered even worse in Left4Dead... now THAT had to be my worst online community experience. And I know very well how to play that game - I was definitely not a 'noob'. The problem is that you have parents who let the media raise their kids. Or parents who let others (if anybody) raise their kids. The resultant brood is a brat with no sense of either civility or fair play. These children are impatient, rude, and given the impersonality of the Interlag, prone to getting away with behaviour that in person would surely see them receive a solid punch to the face.

Some parents should never be parents. The blame is on them.

For the record, most beta testers were eminently civil and pleasant.

Been here since beta and havn't been told what items to buy or to leave so heres the learning curve of this game -

Im sorry if I get angry at players.... but if your feeding the enemy and charging in with Erebrus against 2 heroes and trying to chase them down when they match your speed.... and you keep doing this and die I get frustrated...

Nothing worse then pulling more then your own weight only to have your teammate help sink the game...

All I ask if my team not to die... dont be crazy.... had one guy that had almost equal stats to a AI player... like can you blame me for getting angry at him?

It was 3v2 luckily 1 of theirs dropped and the bots naturually enjoy the Japanese strategy of suicide runs... well I think it was...

3/12 for the bot and 4/11 for the player....
