ok i found a temp fix that seemed to work but iam not 100% sure. I have this issue and my points are in the negative. What i noticed is that after a few matchs your characters reset correct... Well when they do and you see that switch to a different one and then so on and so forth. This should give you a steady flow of favor points and keep your playing skills with most characters on point. But like I said I truly dont know if this is that reliable I was testing it and it seemed to work out I was up to about 650 when i forgot to switch again and just kept killing lol

I don't think favor points/items are character specific. So I'm not sure what your fix is telling me to do. I can however note that every time my points have reset/gone negative, it has been a pantheon game. Can anyone else confirm? I have a feeling this bug might have to do with trying to carry over points from custom games to pantheon games. I'm not positive of this, but it seems like if I just play custom games with my friend my points seem to stay untouched. Then as soon as i play a pantheon they all go away and i go negative again.

Has anyone had their points reset who has NEVER played a pantheon match?

I've not had my points reset, but I'm instead not gaining any points from the matches anymore, stuck at 1335 and I have to buy the same item at the beginning of every game. Not losing the 1335 points either tho. I've never played a pantheon match.

Repost of my replies to another thread today in a more apropriate place :

My achievements and favor have gotten broken after pretty much every game update no matter which game type I play. This time it got stuck at -1375 (cost of the last favour item I bought, and the only one I have left) when I started playing a custom game.

What's new this time is it's stuck at -1375 and keeps resetting agfter every game. After a game is finished I check game.prefs and the negative points value has gone down, but the next game I play it goes back to -1375 at the start

Also, editing the game.prefs won't "stick" anymore, I can get it to work for one single player game then it reverts back to -1375.

Been playing around some more with it trying to unstick. Oddly if I play a couple of custom games the negative favor in game.prefs will keep getting smaller by the amount of favor I earn, but the displayed in game favor doesn't go up.

In single player I can earn favor and the displayed number will go down, and I can play with game.prefs to get favor back, achievements and delete/add unlocked items but as soon as I play custom it reverts back to -1375 with no achievements and the one item I unlocked last, and will be like that for single player matches again.

I've tried deleting LastGame.DGReplay (My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\replays\[Profile Name]) since it seems to store details of your favor from the last game in there too but still doesn't un-stick my favor.

It's like there's a backup of my favor stored elsewhere now which will overwrite game.prefs and that's gotten broken to the point won't even update at the end of games anymore.

Ok, completely new profiles that start with 150 favor in single player start with -1375 favor in multiplayer too, so it looks like it's something linked to my impulse log in that's broken. I can't find any more local files so I'm left wondering if there's something stored on the impulse servers now.

Can I ask if the SD guys if there's anything to do with favour stored on the impulse servers now? If so I think it's kinda died and left a horrible mess on my account.

Hehe, just been reminded of the old TF2 quote in Demigod form... "Spy's sappin' mah favor!"

Just checked my stats at http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/games/player/11298/page/1 and it seems to have lost all the games I played between april 14-23, all it's got are the load of quick custom games I've fired up to figure out what's wrong with my favor and the couple of games I got in on the release day.

I'm a software developer myself, so I understand what it's like to ship, and then have bugs. BUT, Demigod is a full priced game (though you can find it for a little less), and so the expectation is for a full feature set. The game is skirmish with no storyline (as far as the game progression is concerned), so the only 'progression' that you can make it through Pantheon, and through favor points gained through online play. This kind of feature set is on par with make DLC console games that are priced in the $15-$20 price range. But, I liked SoupCom a lot, and I appreciate the openness of Stardock, so I bought it.

I spent 40 minutes trying to get into a Pantheon game last night, and when I finally got into one, it was unbalanced with 3v2. It's no fun to have to wait a long time to get into a game, just to have it very heavily weighted in the opposing teams favor. This was only my 2nd Pantheon match ever. First one was a similiar circumstance. So, I'd say that that's pretty much broken.

And the only other thing that you can progress in is with favor. With the favor mechanic, you are rewarded for saving up your favor points by being able to purchase more powerful items. BUT, with the game in it's current state, your are more likely to be punished for saving by having your points disappeared. Really, the only collectible in the game, just does not work. More than a week after launch, still does not work.

I appreciate that the devs at Stardock and GPG are working hard to resolve these issues, but the fact that some of the core game mechanics are completely inop at this state is not forgivable. It will definitely affect my decision to purchase further Stardock/GPG games in the future.

PS: Impulse is a huge joke. Steam please. I mean, wtf is the point of a buddy list if all you get is IM, and no integration into the game propper. I mean, Demigod uses the EXACT SAME matchmaking system as Diablo 2, ie Make a game, put a password on it, and then tell your friend the game name and pw, and then have them visually search on the server list to find it. It astounds me that they modelled their server join on a game that 9 years old. And this is especially disappointing as Demigod is a multiplay only game. /facepalm.

It would be much easier to be patient if you or Frogboy or any dev told us an ETA on when it will be fixed and how much priority it is getting.

Is the update to fix negative favor points and stuck favor points expected to come in a week? 1 month? 2 months etc.

I know how to fix this, everyone gets a hug absolutely everyone, stardock, the players, and even gamestop (although they do not deserve one). I've found that if you do a single player tournament on easy you can get any favor item you want near the end because the points did not seem to reset on me, I went straight to pantheon after and haven't played anything else since, but I've been playing with the item I chose so WOOT! Thank you Stardock for this wonderful game, I accept it bugs and all...kinda CYLON SMILEY RULES!
