There are some many reasons this mode doesn't work.
[Technical Stuff]
First of all please add a thread for the refresh function of the game list cause having a game freezing at each refresh really sucks.
Second the p2p thing is great, but :
- Let the ppl enter 1 by 1 in a game stop adding 4 ppl in the queue list cuz it only makes things worse.
Let's imagine a scenario : 2 ppl already in lobby , 2(a &
already trying to connect(each connected to the other one, and one of the player already in lobby).
Now you add 6 ppl in the queue list.
Players a&b : are still trying to connect to one of the player already in lobby, but you add 6 players for them to connect to
ok after that all of the connecting ppl cancels.
No one will be able to join the game until the host close and reopen the slot, because the head server thinks the game is full.
Worse than that, if you have 8 ppl trying to connect and then the host reopen and close a slot, the head server will send more players in the game. I had a game with 16 ppl in queue list.
Plus I've seend somewhere a Stardock poster saying that Pantheon works fine, yeah however I've never seen a Pantheon game with more than 4 real players....
