After 5 days of playing..

Demigod is a refreshing game.. since this is the 1st time such pvp rts game style is bring brought to a standalone game with nicely rendered graphics..

However after days of trying to play multiplayer failed, and after feeling very bored with playing with bots.. I have decided to go back to playing dota for now. Will probably come back to try this out again in a month or 2 after the multiplayer option is being resolved by either stardock or offered by some other 3rd party vendors.

Good luck for everyone else who's still trying for now.

You need three monitors so you can play DoTA, HoSK, and demigod at the same time!

By the way, if you want something refreshing try HoSK. It's basically DoTa, but you build your own hero. There's a large selection of heros much like dota, each with unique specials (you actually get to pick two from a list of 6+). However, all the hero's other abilities are chosen by you from a massive pool of abilities anyone can pick from.

And while each hero has a main stat, you can also choose your hero's stat growth. It leads to amazing games where creative minds make some darn interesting heros.

I loved the game to death and it's getting to be really popular. Well, it was last I played. I personally think it's better than DoTA. I'm still happily playing Demigod, but while you're waiting I would suggest giving HoSK (Hand of Sorrowful Knight) a try.

All I can say is stick with it. there've been MUCH worse games upon release that given time and patches, were made into epic multiplayer experiences. Red Alert is a good example. Howeverm like you, me and my friends are still pretty much preoccupied with DotA, only playing DemiGod every now and then.

MP working fine for me currently... My ADHD apparently can let me sit through a few hanging connections windows, shocking others can't.

Also too few people still don't know how to interpret the connection window... Having more hung games due to canceling then due to people's not configured connection.

Sad too because I posted a giant post about the connection window for Pantheon that appraently went unread, and I still see people bitching about why their games aren't starting.

Getting a bit sick of the 'omgfixurconnectionnub' comments. Some people legitimately cant play the game multiplayer due to various issues Frogboy has covered.

Myself with all ports forwarded properly and being able to play custom games without too much issue, i can never get a Pantheon or Skirmish game starting with any more than 1-2 people(including me) in it. I am fully aware of how the connection window works, it's a failing on the games side and likely due to latency -myself being in Australia.

A typical scenario is after a short period a Pantheon or Skirmish game will launch, and while still loading you will hear an audible, "A player has left the game message," and then in the normal circumstance there will either be 100% ai present or one or two other players tops.

I have tried to play Pantheon and Skirmish many many times since launch and every single time it results in the above. So just because it's working for you and you wrote some magical post doesn't mean it works for everyone else.

I also covered that in the connection window post... And if you already know that they said they are fixing the "drops at start" issue, then you shouldn't even need to worry about it, as that is a different issue then people hanging games.

There are many people using both Hamachi and GameRanger to get multiplayer going. You might want to try one of those out until the proxy servers hit and then try again.
