Hey everybody.
I'm sure everyone has their idea of a great demigod or 2, but I thought I'd just throw my idea into the meat-grinder and see what people think. Because this is such a big article I'm writing my 2nd Demigod idea in another article.
The Arbiter (General Class, Force of Light)
The Deevingennv was a perfect example of paradise; lush jungles with verdant wild-life, crystal rivers that streak along wide and open fields of never-ending green. The capitol city Ryeslav was the shining symbol of its perfection. Towers of dazzling silver rise from the grounds like fingers stretching for the heavens. Streets paved with gold woves through the city, carving paths of beautiful asymmetricy to those who could understand.
The people, however, paled in stark contrast to the beautiful city. The people were filled with hate and malice, greed and lust. There was no love except love for their own desire. There was no joy except joy for their own achievements. Every day was spent donig whatever their malicious hear desired. Such was the world that Rinafu Ysasb was born.
Like all the childrens that are begotten (usually against the will of the woman), they are unceremoniously abandoned into the only orphanage in the city to be raised. Most, when they have grown to age, will join the throng of disorder and anarchy, eager to satisfy the desire in their own hearts.
Not Rinafu.
He hated the city. From the moment of his awareness he loathed the beautiful city that hid the debaunchy of lies and filth. He cursed the people for their disregard of peace and prosperity for chaos and degeneration. Many nights, he swore to the fair moon that he will do whatever it takes to bring order to this blighted city, no matter the cost.
When the time came that he was of age to leave the orphange, he began his crusade with no headway. He found no comrades amongst the throng of the weak, nor did those in the orphange give him any aid or support. Shedding blood only if he must, even if their blood be foul and tainted, he combed the city for hopes of salvation.
It was in an ancient and forgotten church that he found his destiny. In pale contrast to the rest of the glimmering city, the church stood alone and forgotten, rotten away with mold and faded gold. Rinafu knew not what was in it, but felt certain that the achievement of his quest lay inside. Upon a dust-caked altar he found 2 ancient bracelet. With the arrogance of a young man he clasped the bracelet on. Only then did he see the plaque words on the altar, hidden by the bracelet:
All those who bear the Binds of Madness shall forevermore shed an ocean of blood, even if it be thyself.
Before he can even comprehend the words, he found himself out amongst the masses, ripping throats and tearing hearts, stripping flesh and gouging eyes. He screamed and cried and begged for someone, anyone, to stop him, but even the orderless people were cowered at the madess of his actions. While he could struggle with himself for minutes, he would find himself soon plunging his fist into another man's heart.
For days and nights it would seem the bloodshed would never end. Any man would have already been driven insane by the hideous acts they are committing against their free will, but Nirafu perserved.
On the 7th night of his endless slaughter, despite the overwhelming fatigue, that he saw his salvation; a guillotine. Mustering what was left of his strenght he forced his bloodlusting body to the machine, placed his hand where the head should be, and pulled the lever with his mouth. Without the hand, the Binds of Madness (still attached to his arm) came to a halt, and Nirafu collapsed in a heap.
Slowly he felt his life slip away as the blood poured from the wound where his hands were. Even after all the life he killed, all the madness he brought, he still yearned for the order and justice, his oath to the moon still on his lips. As he lay by the guillotine, dying, under the moon, his last sight was that of an endearing light that overtook him...
For once in countless decades, the city of Ryeslav fell silent. The people of the city were all dead. Some with their own knives through their heart. Some with their throat clawed out by their own hands. All of them died by their own means. Every human figure in the city layed down, dead.
Except one.
Wreated a tunic of white. a simple helmet covers his face with no visier for him to see out from. Not an ounce of filth or dirt touched him, except for the blood-drenched bracelet. Without hesitation, the man who was once Nifaru began walking.
A man suddenly jumps out from a cover with a knife in hand, and lunges for the man-in-white. Nifaru did not react, he just kept walking. The man began to falter, and stoped. He falls to his knees with tears streaming from his eyes. He then took his knife and shoved it into his heart. He collapsed to the dirt, dead.
Nifaru, the Arbiter, just kept walking.

Yes it was very long I know. But a demigod has to have a background story, no?
My idea for this general of light was that he would be unable to attack. Other than casting spells or his aura, he does not have any coventional means of attack. He still has his minions he can summon don't worry.
Here are some of his abilities I've thought out
Aura of Penitence - Being in the prescence of the Arbiter brings a weight of concious guilt on those who see him/her/it. Enemies within X distance moves 10%/20%/30%etc (or 15%/30%/45%etc) slower. Demigods are half the effect.
Aura of Retribution - Those who live by the sword die by their own sword. Whenver an enemy deals damange within X distance, he/she/it takes 20%/30%/40%etc (or 15%/20%/25%etc) of the damange he/she/it delt to him/her/itself. Demigods half the effect.
Aura of Conscience - In the prescence of the Arbiter, they begin to question their purpose. Enemies within X distance of the Arbiter attacks 15%/20%/25%etc slower. Demigods half the effect.
The Judges - The Arbiter doesn't engage in direct combat, that is what the Judges are for. Summon 2 Judge under your control.
Aura of Fanaticism - Those under his gaze fight all the harder to prove their worth. Allies within X Distance of the Arbiter attacks 10%/15%/20%etc (or 15%/30%/45%) faster.
Aura of Endurance - "Our purpose is true, we must endure." While the Arbiter is alive, all allied Demigods (except the Arbiter himself) gain +200/+400/+600etc (or 300+/+600/+900etc) health.
Aura of Faith - Faith protects the body as well as the soul. All allied units within X distance of the Arbiter +10/+15/+20etc weapon damage.
Field of Judgement - Those that walk into the field faces the judgement of their actions. Cast a field where enemies suffer -10%/-15%/-20%etc to all attributes and allies gain +10%/+15%/+20%etc attributes while inside the field. It lasts 10 (or 15) seconds.
Weight of Sin - "Feel the weight of your sin!" Deal 100/200/300etc + X damange. X is the amount of damage an enemy Demigod your casting on has delt you damage after his last respawn. The limit of X is 500/700/900etc.
Note: The abilites above are there to just give you an idea about the Demigod.
As you can see. The Arbiter is purely a supportive Demigod. 3 facets of his abilites are auras that damage the enemy, auras that help his allies, and some spells. The auras the Arbiter has are slightly stronger than the already existing demigods because unlike other demigods, he cannot attack conventionally. So if he's out of mana and out of minions he's in trouble. The aura can only slow the enemy Demigod oh so far.
I've thinking that if auras aren't a good idea he can, perhaps instead, cast spell buffs or curses both assisting his allies and harassing his enemies.
Well that's all for this Demigod idea. I may alter it in the future. My 2nd Demigod Idea will be up soon in "The 2 Demigod Idea part 2"
