1) Multiplayer - This is such a huge topic full of tons of problems that I won't list them all. The ingame match-making system is garbage. Too many ppl have problems. Even if you have everything setup "normal"... someone else doesn't and its broken. There are ZERO excuses people with brand new routers setup properly (as in every/all other popular functional games work) should have problems like this game.
2) Speed - I'm not sure if this is just a multiplayer problem or horrid game code... But we can do 2-3 humans + completely full a AI (5v5 match)... with friends that i know have good machines and solid connections... Majority of 100% human matches with more than 2v2 or 3v3 are SLOW AS SHIT... they are laggy and jerky and just terrible. its not fun.
3) Content - How long did this game take? I mean seriously. You get 8 heroes to choose from.. Zero singleplayer... And like 8 maps. This shipped with almost no content. Units don't change when upgraded. And each side has basically exactly the same models for everything with colors changed. There are like 4 or 5 building types. 4 or 5 creep types. And then the 8 heroes. I'm sorry but I have to compare this to other products on the market. Red Alert 3 shipped with 4 factions each have TONS of unique units and buildings. The Maps for that game are very well done. Buildings and trees and rocks and junk everywhere.
The terrain and maps for this are probably my 4th or 5th bigges complaint. They are completely flat. All the pretty graphics and effects in the background do nothing but lag lower end computers. If you kill all of the enemy buildings you're left with a completely empty field. This game feels like an itouch or iphone app to me. Only those run better!
I know the fanboy bunch will flame this and i'm sure lots of ppl think it runs GREAT. But Consider I have 3 friends playing right now all of them seeing the same problems I do on completely different machines... I can't help but think anyone who believes its running smoothly is either playing AI... or is so used to horrible game performance that its normal for them.
