Despite the current networking issues that are being worked on, (which we all know, thank you stardock!) i think there are a few other improvements that would be nice to the networking interface. After clicking pantheon->choosing demigod, i also think players should have the option to "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" on certain maps or gamemodes which they simply do not want to risk playing. For example, see the warcraft 3 battle.net ladder functionality, you can choose 2 out of the available 8 or so maps to "thumb down" in the matchmaking. This is especially important for Demigod, certain players simply tire of playing crucible all the time, other players dont want to play a 5v5 game, since they know their network is not the best and it will simply lag too much for them. I for one hate playing "domination" games, where you are supposed to just hold a few flags for a certain amount of time to win. (By the way, In this game mode, i think rook is overpowered specialising on the "power of the tower" build, to defend the flags.) Id rather play the standard conquest or slaughter gamemodes, for example.
Also the ability to chat before the match has started, in pantheon and skirmish, would be really nice. The current interface where we can just se "player x is attempting to connect to player y" feels really basic and b-class. this would be okay if the match started much faster, but as of now, you sometimes have to wait several minutes on this window, so this ability to chat would be nice.
Aside from the networking issues, there are certain in-game "bugs" that i have noticed, will list them here to get them all collected in the same place. I know some of these or maybe even all may have been mentioned before several times, but i will only list the ones i have experienced myself, please feel free to list further ones below mine.
1. Favor items/points. It seems even if you previously purchased a favor item, and want to reuse it(which should be free), the favor points are still deducted from your account and this causes favor to become negative. Also, recently purchased favor items are again "locked" when this happens, the game after your score becoming negative is finished. Also currently, the favor points even for online mode can simply be changed from the offline file "game.ini" (changing the value of the "points" field). I thinks this should be stored online, otherwise(as it is now) its far to easy to cheat, giving everyone max favor points from the beginning even without playing the game even once. this simply defeats the purpose, favor points should be "earned the hard way".
2. Movement lock. sometimes when you give attack order or spell casting order nothing happens, or your demigod starts attacking from current position, but wont follow when enemy demigod moves out of range. This is pretty awkward when enemy just have a sliver of life left and simply moves out of range, your demigod simply not pursuing despite you clicking constantly on him. only solution to this currently is to give a different order first, then issue the attack command again. This is often fatal.
3. Achievement not sticking. It seems that currently after each match online, all previous achievements previous to that match are removed.
4. Summoning from each idol once(after reselling, keeping summons), giving you 24 summons on each general, (aside from the demigod "specific" ones). i dont know if this is a bug or a feature. Please clarify.
5. Regulus "infinite range", if locking to teleporting demigod, snipe will still follow and hit. Again, i dont know if this is a bug or a feature. Please clarify. Feature is fine here i think, just to get the official "word" on it would be nice.
6. Tower synnergies. How are these supposed to work? The nifty animation when several towers link beams simply seems to do nothing. Please clarify, is this meant to just be a pointless animation? Or is it broken? Most players get the impression they should do more damage, even something low like 5% increase per tower-link would be nice. Without it, towers are simply too weak late-game as is now.
7. Choosing demigods, valid options "greyed out" in pantheon, and having light side heroes on dark side and vice versa. This is definitely a bug i have encountered many times.
