Yes it would be nice to hear from GPG or Stardock on whither they consider this a bug or not.

I've yet to fight against this but, it's not a cheap thing to do....

Please note that the costs listed below are just numbers I've made up off the top of my head, I'm at work and I don't recall what the actual archer idols cost.

Siege Archer Idol's

~550 for level I, 1050 for level II, ~1550 level III, 2050 for level IV

Total costs:

~$5200- 1105 (half price for the ones you sell) = $4095

That's not a small amount to pull off this tactic and on top of that if you kill the lower level archers, they can't resummon them, they only can resummon the highest level, unless they want to pay $4095 again!

So while I'm pretty sure it's a bug, it's not that effective or cost efficient.

PS: Every Demigod has AOE attacks/answers.  If someone is doing this, it's time to adjust your strategy to improve your AOE attacks and just kill his minions.  But frankly if he has 4095 gold to spend, he's going to get some nice war gear or multiple higher level minons that he'll be able to resummon.

For $4,095 and only 8 minions at your disposal that can be easily killed by a lvl3 or lvl4 spell, i don't see how "broken" the game can be.

It's a good strategy for early game, but a lvl15 DG will swat at them like flies and like flies they'll fall off the map.

It's only a problem in very early game where you can get several ranks of priests heal you, since each type of priest is on its own 10 second timer, so if you have all 4 then you have 4 heals every 10 seconds. It's practically irrelevant in the late game due to good AoEs, but many demigods don't unlock their good AEs until later, and those that get AEs at the start are usually weak enough to not be that effective against idol minions that have considerably higher hp than portal creeps.

try to kill 8 priests+sedna under lvl 10... youll just get killed or forced back to the base while she and her allies wont even get any serious damage... and under lvl 10 you cant just walk up to the priests and kill them cause there are 8 of them healing each other... its nearly impossible to defend yourself against such an army. and now consider your playing 2on2 and both your enemys got 8 priests. you can just leave the game cause you CANT win against that...

Yeah, the priests are the only real issue I have with the idol reselling. Damage minions are just like spending money on damage gear, but the 4 sets of priests offer what translates into an absolutely insane hp/s buff that no gear comes close to matching (other than the heart, which can be interrupted and is widely considered a bit too good to begin with )

If they just put all priest minions on the same 10 second heal timer, you'd only get the highest ranked priest heal once/10 sec, and stacking priests early game won't tip the scales that much. The rest just becomes if the player wants to buy that +weapon damage/attack speed item, or extra minions which is a fair enough trade off since the extra minions cost gold each time.
