Hi guys,
First of all, great game, great ideas in there, lots of fun. At least for me, because I managed to get everything running into multiplayer. Had to do a bit of port forwarding to be able to even connect to a game, not talking about hosting one (but now I can, though I understand that no one can connect to your game if behind a router without forwarded ports).
Anyway, a friend of mine can't connect or host. At all. Basically we have the same network config (pc-router-modem). Works here, but can't get him to join any Demigod game online. It stays at "trying to connect to other players" and then he gets kicked out.
Who the hell decided to implement a system like that ? I mean, any other game (except supcom I guess, but he doesn't own it) works perfectly, as for joining one at least. When will someone come up with a working fix, beside forwarding the ports ? He should be able to join games, at least customs, as I don't know how pantheon works.
Last thing I'll try today is to disable DHCP on his router. But my hopes aren't that high.
Sounds to me that if we really can't get it to work, he'll ask for a refund, and that will be quite justified IMO.
Sorry for the rant, but I just couldn't help it. Such a good game suffering a problem like that is not acceptable.
