[BUG] Direct3d due to different resolutions-Laptop User

*sigh* I'd hoped this was fixed from Supcom/FA.

I play on my laptop. At home I have a 1440x900 LCD screen, which I usually use. My laptop itself has a 1280x800 screen. Unfortunately, Whenever, I switch from the LCD to the laptop, It gives me an 'Unable to create Direct3D. Check video drivers.' message.

The solution is to go to game.prefs (or maybe it's games) and fix it, however that's incredibly annoying, and I wouldn't have known it, if not for being around Supcom. Seriously, can someone put a check in to make sure it can deal with changing resolutions, because just now I got a bit ticked off about it. I know I'm not the only one who does this, and I'm willing to bet that others will also be annoyed by it.
