Hi all,

Here is a first public version of a dutch translation of the game.

About the translation:
I didn't want to translate the names of Demigod's, Items and spells to make communication with other people on forums and ingame easier.
The other strings are translated

To install you have 2 options
1 replace the original US version - easiest, but you loose the original english text
2 create a new localization - i little bit more complicated, but you can switch between original and translated version

ad 1:
Head over to "Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\loc\US". There you´ll find a file named "strings_db.lua". We advise you, to backup your current .lua file, just to be sure.

Copy our translated .lua file into this directory.

You are ready to go!

ad 2:
You will need to create "Program Files\Stardock Games\Demigod\loc\NL". And copy the lua file into this folder.

After that you will need to change your game language into dutch, go to:

"My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod"

You´ll find a file called "Game.prefs". First of all, make a backup of this file, just to be sure  Then open this file with notepad, search for the following line "options_overrides = {" and add this "language = 'NL'," right under it.

Now, launch Demigod and if everything worked fine, you´ll have Demigod in dutch now.

We hope you´ll find our translation good enough. But if you think: "Man, didn´t they realized this failure?" or "I have a better translation for this spell/tooltip/whatever.", please, post your thoughts in this thread. If you have other comments on this, please, post here.
