just curious, how many of u still regret they bought this game ?

i myself regret every time i start 3v3 with friends. endless reconnects, in game stuttering caused by 1 low end reg.
30 minutes to start a match and 15 minutes in game. 60% 1 player gets disconnected during loading screen.
excluding ragequitters\complete noobs wich makes in game time even shorter. to sum up - everything above 2v2 is a complete waste of time.

2 weeks of patches already, give me a break !

strange thing why demigod tech\net dev team still working on this project. they shud definately quit - so obvious they dont like their job. 2 fk up such wonderful game... ppl like them stick "till starcraft 2" label on every demigod box. watch out stardock, u got inside enemy.

ur only goin get mostly negative people replying to this thread, those that connect wont care to post

right now 2v2's and 3v3's are easy to get going but any larger is a big time sink

Both Stardock and GPG are working very hard to address the connectivity problems. But the problems are far from being a simple matter "net realiziation" issue on Stardock's side. It's a lot more complex than that.

there is a term that appeared only in 2009, u may not know it - betatesting it is zaoozaaa.....

shudnt u feel ashamed sellin beta version for 40$ ? imagine warning everybody via demigod homepage about current state of things BEFORE selling your game - wud u get 12k copies sold - i guess not.

When I play other RTS games, it also takes me 5-10 minutes to get a game. Most of that waiting is just for people to join the game, or finding a host with good ping and performance that's not just stacked teams.

Or I could just hop on vent, find the group of Penny Arcade people, and have a game in the few minutes to get everyone into Gameranger.

I think I've played at least 50 games of Demigod now since release, which is something given I can only play at night and also have other games.

It does help if you have a portable gaming machine like a DS though. I just play on that while waiting for people so I never have any gaming downtime.

Demigod FTW! I'm not gonna lie, judging a game and its devs without going through what they are going through to bring us this experience isn't fair. I may sound like I'm kissing ass, and it may be some what true teehee but as gamers we have no right to judge how "easy" it is to create a game like this.

Well, we are paying them, you know? Don't you think we have the right to judge them based on a half-working game? Beta or no-beta, Demigod feels like a beta software, because of the netcode. Maybe if they made a bigger beta, with more EU players and more people, i'm sure they could have ironed out the mp issues before the release. Someone, Stardock or GPG, developed this netcode, and is bad. Really bad.

We agree with you that the net code is crappy, at least in the sense that it hasn't scaled well.

As others have pointed out, we did have a beta test with thousands of players. The problem here is that the system just didn't handle the sheer number of players well.

We (Stardock and GPG) are working very hard to improve this so people can use the built in match-making.

No, we don't have the right to judge them. I didn't say we have no right to be pissed off for buying a "half-working" game though.
