I read your post on how to solve the geometry instancing problem, and while it works great for anyone without vista or windows 7 x64 operating systems, it might not work for those with vista or win7.  The reason being it's incredibly hard to get ati tray tools running as they use unsigned drivers, which microsoft says is a no no.

My solution, was to reformat and start with a fresh install of vista (This worked, but not a great idea for everyone). 

I believe the problem is in catalyst control center.  I didn't install it on my fresh install of vista, and the game works perfectly.  If you are having troubles and can't get ati tray tools, I recommend you uninstall catalyst control center, delete the drivers for your graphics card(s) and reboot your computer.  This should give the same results as starting a fresh install.
