I really hope "overpowered" starts disappearing from the forums some day. I'm not saying opinions on the subject are irrelevant, they've all had very good points, but Demigod is a game based on team play. 1v1 of course some dg's have a better chance to survive the outcome but claiming it's op is really hard to judge because it was just 1v1. I dunno, I just like the game the way it is now, maybe they can tweak some things but there are no dg's in the game right now with "sure win" stamped on their forehead. Just my opinion, I don't mean to offend or anything
For as long as there are people playing a game who can't accept their own failures for a lost game, there will always be the cry of OPness. Thats like online gaming 101 or something.
Torch Bearer can be extremely powerful, he just requires alot more management to avoid damage. Rain of Ice III is devastating to entire armies late game but Fireball definitely doesn't scale well once you start going up against higher level Demigod's. I typically stack as much +Movement items and the max out the buff just to stay from Unclean Beasts which are a TB's worst enemy.
Totally agree, Rain is a great spell once you've hit rank 2 even cause it pretty much kills an entire non-upgraded wave (who upgrades troop like at lvl 1 anyways?). I feel fire isn't all that great though, frost nova does at range what fire nova has to do more upclose and personal. And circle of fire to me just seems like a useless spell, where I could just use Rain or Nova to do the same thing, in a much larger radius and range without putting myself in harms way.
Played QoT last night a few times and either I just don't understand her, or she's just really underpowered. She's alright for support, that shield is abusive but outside of that she doesn't seem to offer a whole lot. It could have been the team makeups, or the fact that it was an hour long game, or just that I'm just REALLY bad with her, I just don't really see where she's better than an Oak or a Sedna instead (not referring to Pantheon mode)
