It happen to me twice today. I wanted to play a pantheon game. After player searching had I once 4 human players and once 3 human and one ai player. Both times I ended in the game with 2 enemies and none ally. Not even an ai. The second time I saw just in the moment when the system start to prepare the game that one player jumped off the connection list.
Its not that I'm a so good player that I can face two opponents and win, I tried it in the first game. 
I really hope its a Bug and not wanted and will fixed soon. Because it isnt funny to fight allone against two. thats my opinion.
