1.) I have the "see pre-release versions" set to allow in the impulse menu.
2.) This morning I woke and saw an "update" to Demigod available in the Impulse Reactor menu.
3.) It didn't say it was a beta or anything.
4.) I downloaded it...
5.) So, as I did that I noticed in the bottom left corner of Impulse menu that my Demigod was now listed as Demigod v1.00[b]
6.) I started the game and got to the "single player skirmish" screen and noted that the in game version was Demigod 1.00.0108
7.) I was puzzled because it seems as if the version listing on the Impulse screen was different than in game. Very disconserting.
8.) In order to "test" the game I decided to try to start a single player skirmish match. After setting up the match, I clicked launch.
9.) However, when I got to the splash loading screen I saw the fatal "no text" under the map name and my skirmish matches won't load.
10.) So now I have an updated version that won't run and it seems as if there's a conflict between what impulse says I'm running and the version in game.
Needless to say, I'm not very pleased with Stardock or Gas Powered Games right now.
Before this morning I was able to run single player games no problem and I was able to get into multiplayer games although I encountered the slow and borked multiplayer issues just like the rest of you.
I'm running Vista 64 bit just in case that matter. Like I said, prior to this latest patch, I could run the game. Now I can't get past the loading screening after I launch a single player match.
