Exact same problem here.  Everything looks and works normal in the lobby.  The "Waiting for other players" screen pops up and goes away.  Then nothing happens.  The center icon pulses for me.  And just keeps pulsing forever and nothing else happens.  I cant play multiplayer anymore because the maps wont load.

I have no idea if this fixed the problem or not, but I tried creating a new profile and got through -- to a 2v1 skirmish -- gg

edit:  didn't fix the problem, stuck again at the loading screen.  Guess I should have been satistifed with 2v1

I'm having the same problem here.  I hadn't had connection issues for many days before now.

We've been having the same problem since about 11:10pm (Pacific Daylight time) may 5th (not quite an hour ago).  Can't start any skirmish game, just sits at loading screen.

With 3 of us on light side, 3 AIs on dark side, and all with the latest beta patch.

I will note that I'm the only one of the 3 who actually have my ports actively forwarded in my firewall.  Maybe that's related... but we played several games from 10:10-11:00 with no problems, the last that we actively started we connected just a little before 11pm pacific time.

I'm running the beta version btw.

Add myself to this list as well. I've deleted/removed my preferences, uninstalled the game and reinstalled. Removed and reinstalled from an archive of the current main version (tuesdays update for the proxy) and reinstalled the patch same thing.

This is using the beta patch 108.

Edit: I'd like to note this was working fine a few hours ago. Just left the PC running while I ate so nothing has been installed and my network configuration/firewall hasn't changed.

Just rolled the client back to 105 from 108, works fine. Can anyone else test that this works for them by unclicking pre-release and then verifying and rolling back.

I've had to roll back to 105 as well, 108 is dead as a dodo for me unless there's some config files hiding somewhere. I'm happy to provide logs etc if they're needed.

if you go into the Impulse, right click and then do Verify installation, it will say there is an update to download. im doing that now, i hope it fixes it. 

i wanted there to be faster way than reinstalling so... here's to hoping.

Micah - Just tried some limited testing (tried 3 other demigods) of my own, and it's only Sedna that I get this issue with on the 108 build so far. This has only been tested in Custom/Skirmish

Tested all Demigods and this freezing on map load only occurs with Sedna and only in multiplayer. Single player works fine with Sedna. Need to test if this happens in Gameranger if anyone has 108 and GR installed.

Same problem here, but it's not Sedna, happened with a few games without her. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
