Problem Opening Ports

With all the troubles in my MP games (I have managed to play 1 [ONE!] game in more than 2 weeks now, all others lagged or never started or had discs etc.) I thought that maybe it is me who causes the problems in my games. So I tried to open the ports despite having no clue about such things at all.

I now have the ports 6100-6200 labeled "filtered" instead of "closed". Is this ok? Or must it be "opened"? Thing is I don't know what else to do.

I'm using Speedport W701V. I'd appreciate any help!
