I will never, ever buy any game with securom.
Even if its a game I want to play, buy, etc.
I don't mind online activation, if its reasonable. If I can't get online, I better be able to play the game offline.
I do mind limited installations. Did I buy the game, or rent it? I won't pay more than 5 bucks for a rental.
Huge serial numbers? They have been around forever.
The paying customer is NOT the criminal.
I know this topic of DRM and securom and other "software" has been debated to death.
But some people just don't listen.
There are several legal solutions.
Here they are.
1. Ask questions. Does the game say there is no securom, drm, etc? ASK QUESTIONS!
2. Don't pay companies to treat you as a criminal. No money, no company. Its that simple.
If you like virtual handcuffs on your computer system, be my guest. Have fun fixing your computer.
Writing letters is useless. Email/comments are even more useless. If you can pay a lobbyist [ gov't influencer ], nice.
Stop paying companies to put securom on your computer, or any other drm garbage.
