I was trying to think of unique unit ideas, and one came to me. (Oh, and if this does get implemented, my apologies to GPG's lua coders.)
A demigod that is able to split his persona and be in multiple places, each a lot weaker.
I would have to say he'd be a general, based on the idea.
One of his skill trees is to split, this provides his special 'minions'. As the skill tree goes up, he can have more splits, probably 1 copy at L1, up to maybe 4 at L15.
This act however, splits him, causing him to be weakened. How much, I would think depends on the level, and has to be considered for balance. Initially I was thinking his HP/DPS of each is 1/N of his total, but at higher levels, that might be particularly weak.
He could also recombine copies.
Also his ability to capture would need to be hampered, so each copy would only count as 1/N demigods for capture speeds.
The death of a split would reduce him for as long as the death penalty, then the split would respawn. This should count as 1/N deaths and give 1/N rewards.
Skills:
1-split- splits off a part of him, reducing him by 1/2
2-recombine-reintegrates parts of him back together (Growing current & full DPS/HP to the sum of theirs)
3-Decoy-creates a temporary copy which lasts for 3 seconds, and has all the abilities of the original.
4-Mezmorize-Temporarily split off a part of his soul to mezmorize (stun) and enemy demigod for a moment.
His ability is area control, and as such he may be weak on smaller maps, and a bit strong on large ones, even with the 1/N reduction.
GPG/Stardock has my direct permission to use this idea, with nothing required. Though I ask that I be notified if it's used.
