Complete QFT I know Stardock is still working on fleshing out Impulse Reactor and of course are currently most focused on fixing multiplayer connection issues, but playing Demigod with friends enhances the game massively- it's just such a better experience. Whereas I've seen quite a few people on these forums make posts about how it's up to you, the player, to counter the enemy, and that you cannot rely on your team, with friends and/or players you are familiar with this whole dynamic changes and the game becomes quite a bit more fun and in fact tactical as well. There is an enduring lesson in Team Fortress 2 and when playing with friends, it's fully apparent that Demigod embraces that lesson.
However, the way things stand now, playing with friends is tough- it often requires hosting a new game in order to ensure that both/all of you get on the same team in the same game. But often that just bloats the amount of games being hosted and dillutes the potential players for those games at any given time- it also tends to stratify such games into friends vs. "pubbies" as opposed to a group of friends vs. another group of friends. Improving friend functionality in Impulse Reactor/Demigod should have a very positive impact on the game.
