This game is still a wreck

Favor still isn't working correctly, there is still connectivity issues (most have been resolved, but there are still some). This ring-around-the-rosey connection system is a complete disaster (if you connect to person a who is connected to person b, if person b leaves he takes person a and you with him).

 

Fix rage quitting, fix desync issues, fix favor, and for the love of god fix the skill bug.*

right now when someone rage quits and disconnects whoever is connected to him gets booted too thus not only ruining the game for the people whos side he was on but ruining it for the guys on the winning side becuase someone got disconnected because someone else rage quit because they couldn't handle losing

today out of 4 matches.. i had 3 people rage quit on the other side and either I or another friend was disconnected when a person rage quit in the 3 out of the 4 matches.. so now you can't even complete games.. awesome!

I don't have problems with rage quitters. What I do have a problem with is rage quitters desyncing the entire game and making everyone disconnect, making you end up with a game full of bots. And yes, OP is correct, game is still broken beyond belief.

Ive got around a dozen friends in Europe and they all cant play Demigod since May14/15 updates, also stats tracking and the favour items management is broken and player`s mass drop at the beginning of a starting game and are replaced by an AI ( for those who are lucky to manage getting a game running every now and then. Saturday I attempted 20 Pantheon tries and played 1x 6player match with 4 AI`s as 4 humans instantly dropped as the game was initialized ).

I guess that half of the people which bought this game cant play online.

Have a read through all the threads in the forum about connection issues.

If the game works for you, especially in Pantheon...Your on the lucky side.

Well the thing is, if your game is not working, sure you are going to go on the forums and let them know.

However; if the game works for you, those people don't go on the forums and create a post say, "hey i can connect".  I'm sure that crowd heavily outnumbers the crowd that cannot connect that seem to be the only ones we see on these forums.

 

Just trying to bring it into perspective.

Im not sure if you are working for the developer.

If yes, then I would like to know if those issues will be fixed.

The game was working fine for my friends and myself on May 12 & May 13. The last 2 updates broke multiplayer for all of us.

If those problems arent resolved in the next weeks we will kindly ask for a refund as its a multiplayer title.

Im sure even the people that can connect easily (me) are still having problems connecting because of the people that cant connect to anyone else (which stalls getting a game started). I have played for 3 days now without having to rejoin because i was 0ms to anyone.

That being said.. the game still "splits" or discnonnects people very frequently when one person ragequits or disconnects randomly. This will happen anywhere from the start of the game to the end. That isnt all but going to go play a game (=.

I wonder who came up with this "replace quitting people with AI" idea.

I never wanted, want and I never will want to play versus AI. This decision was just dumb. (no trolling, I love the game)

Connection is much better than it was, some people are still having lots of trouble, which will be addressed with the Proxy Update this week.

As for balance or features such as AI or bugs like the skill thing will be #1 priority once the update is in, I'm not too worried.

The favour thing is really fail I agree, if it had been working I'd probably have had enough to buy every item cuz of how much I've been playing since Thursday.

I wrote this in another thread, but if they just reduced or removed the xp/gold you get for killing AI replacements, that solves so much.  You'd WANT an AI replacement then, rather than dread one.

Torval thats 3 days of not having 0ms, not that i have only played for 3 days you moron. Even if it was my first day it wouldnt matter, you can carry over experience from other games.

Far be it for me to call you a liar, you are however an oddity. Just because you've had 1 maybe 2 games that people didn't fag out and drop, causing other people to drop due to crappy netcode and what not doesn't mean the problems don't exist.

You guys just don't know how to foward router ports so you can direct connect to everyone. 

Thats why you drop because you're daisy chained to other people, through people.

I did that day one, If my internet shuts off or something I lag out and life goes on.  I've never had a game derail because of one person dropping, taking people with them.  Never.

its the one person, and thats it

Half? Really? If it were that large of a number it wouldn't be that bad. Try about 90 - 95% of the people that have purchased this game. The top retailer for Demigod is Wal-Mart. This game has gotten multiple Editor's Choice Awards (more than enought to warrant releasing an "editor's choice edition" of this game), one of said awards being from IGN itself! That means we're probably talking about 10s of thousands of people sitting at home with a copy (or more, I have two!) waiting for this to be fixed so they can all play and compete on what was supposed to be one of the largest and greatest Online Tournaments of this decade!

 

Fix the damn thing or send everyone their F-'n money back, because the multiplayer is the only real reason to buy this game.
