If there is such a stat I'd hope it reflects a %, not an actual number. Also, I think there's two things in effect here, not just "rage quitting". If you quit because one of the enemies killed you three times in a row, it's ragequitting. Not playing out the next 20 minutes when it's clear you've lost is not being a masacist.

I believe it is a valid issue and my suggestion is a solution. We, as customers, are paying to play games against other human beings, not AI. When one person bails on his team that upsets the balance of the game in many ways.

Since alot of people don't seem to give a damn about other people's patience in order to get a game freakin started in the first place then eject in the first few minutes because of one death... those people need an incentive to behave otherwise.

I'm sorry for you poor trolls out there that live on threads and threads alone and are tired of reading this rhetoric. For us who actually play the game it is obviously a matter of concern. Thus the large amount of posts you want to stop.

But it does not really matter if it is intentional, or not.

If you have a ragequitter, he would have to stop that habbit in order to play proper games.

If you had a guy who had infinite "number of games left" due to his connection problems, then he is not welcome as well - since he would destroy the fun for others, no matter it is not intentional.

Now, I am yet to meet a person with such connection problems, so this solution seems acceptable.
