I had an idea for a new Demigod today. I don't know exactly what he'd be called. But his theme would be gold, as in, the procurement and use thereof. He'd be kind of a theif character. But not an assassin--he'd be a general, with an army of minions who are, like, a bunch of filthy street urchins or something. And maybe he's a rat, or a rattish man. Yeah, that's the ticket.
I haven't layed out a full skill tree or anything, but skill lines could include:
Sacrifice damage to steal gold instead. (This would be a mode, kind of like TB's ice and fire modes.)
Sacrifice gold to increase defense. (Also a mode. Maybe can be combined with the gold steal mode just described.)
Improve minions' fighting abilities
Leech gold through minion attacks.
Discount on items. (Don't know if this would apply to the whole team.)
Hide -- Demigod and minions can be invisible, maybe only while not moving at first, and with upgrades, can be invisible while moving for a certain amount of time
Secret Passageways -- Demigod and Minions know secret ways to get to distant points on the map. This could be designed like a simple teleport spell, or maybe as an actual setting up of a permanant passageway.
Item Steal-- Demigod has a small chance to steal one of an enemy Demigod's non-favor usable items (i.e., an item that goes in one of the three slots on the lower right where you can put, for example, potions) on attack.
Trap--kind of like Reg's mines, but attaches to a friendly building and is detonated either when the building is attacked or when it is destroyed, don't know which.
Sacrifice gold to gain experience. (If he spends a lot of time leeching gold, he's not going to be able to level up very well since he won't be doing much damage. But I want the damage/gold-leech thing to be a tradeoff, or else there'd be no downside to his ability to leech gold.)
Anyway, those were some ideas I had. "Just thought I'd share."
